Hello Family Dinner Night Out!

Well, I had to be at work extra early this morning so no running took place. :( Then I got to work and realized that NOBODY was making coffee! Not a good thing when I had to be there so early. So, knowing that Jason was bringing the girls in shortly, I had him bring me some from home.
Problem solved.
Then I made my Sunday oats and today's were really good.
(I say that every morning don't I?)
I used 1 cup of oats, 1/2 cup vanilla soymilk, roughly 3 tablespoons canned pumpkin, 1 tablespoon almond butter, 1 banana and a sprinkle of cinnamon and brown sugar. YUM!

Then, like the theme of the week, I ran and ran and ran all day at work some what making up for not really running this morning. Linsey was with me all day (do they EVER go to school) so I put her to work doing some of the jobs of the kids from the Special School District. She whined a little, but in the end enjoyed her day and made a new friend. (no photo...couldn't get them to stay in one spot long enough!) By the time lunch rolled around I was starving probably because I hadn't sat down since driving into work at 6:50.

I made some whole wheat pasta with olive oil, garlic and a little parmesan cheese and topped it with some chopped up Morningstar Farms Buffalo Wings. An apple and diet pepsi finished it off. Hey, I needed the caffeine.

The rest of the day flew by and before I knew it - the girls and I were heading home and the work week was O-V-E-R! Time to get the weekend started. Jason got home shortly after us and we decided (again) to take the girls out for dinner. We are so busy during the week that we don't see much of each other, so going out to dinner and having that time to sit, chat, color together or whatever is really nice. We decided to go to one of Linsey's favorite places which also happens to be a St Louis staple known to people who don't even live here simply because of the root beer.

We hadn't been to Fitz's in quite some time so it was nice to be back. Plus, it's just around the corner from our house! That's always a bonus. I knew what I was getting before we even got there so while Jason...

Linsey...

And Regan...

Read the menu and decided what they were going to have for dinner I took some scenery pics!

After the server took our order, Jason stole the camera and turned it on me! I really hate having my picture taken, but I guess for blog purposes I will survive...

Then Linsey was his next victim...

Thankfully, dinner showed up and everyone was happy again.

I had the always yummy Pico Wrap. It's filled with rice, black beans, lettuce, salsa, pico (obviously) and then sour cream on the side. The side of fries fed the whole table! I love this place. And Linsey loves it for this one reason alone...

Family dinner night out was great and now we're home and getting in our jammies. Yep, I said jammies and it's only 7:30 on a Friday night. That's what happens when you have kids! :) Time to curl up on the couch with the girls and watch Coraline. Linsey has been BEGGING all week.

Until tomorrow bloggers...

I haven't been to Fitz's in a long while, but I really love it there! Sometimes I even substitute their veggie burgers in their regular burgers, like their quesadilla burger. That pico wrap looks delicious, I don't think I've ever tried it!
